Makeup Lesson Policy:

  • There are no makeups for missed lessons, but a lesson swap is available.

  • If I am ill, a makeup lesson will be given at an agreeable future date.

  • Lessons can be conducted online during inclement weather, or can be rescheduled to a later date.

Performance Opportunities:

  • Students will have an opportunity to participate in various recitals and/or competitions. When students are ready, I strongly advise participating in the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program. More info can be found at www.rcmusic.com.

Practice Requirements:

  • Practice on the same days that you brush your teeth. I say that half joking, but short daily practice segments will go a long way in the child’s musical development. We will work together to structure a practice routine that works for everyone.

  • Students need a well-maintained instrument, clean hands, and short fingernails. It is preferable that a student have a piano with 88 keys that are weighted, and at least one pedal. This can be discussed in greater detail in person, and I am happy to give recommendations.

Studio Etiquette:

  • Please remove shoes when you enter the studio, wash your hands, and then wait for your lesson time.

  • Please no food or drink in the studio. Water bottles are allowed.
